As I walked home from work across the Market Square, a dreary and miserable day as hell, a tiny tiny school girl approached me and handed me an origami flower saying “this is to make you smile” as she skipped away. Apparently the kids of Primary School No. 82 in Krakow have been folding these little numbers and handing them out in town for a “dzieĆ na tak” – a day for being positive. Another tick for why I love this place.

Yay! At last! It is fabulous. Keep up the good work. You are a good toe cartoonist.

Justyna.
Bloody damn stoked to hear from you. :)
Hey, Stynky!
I wanted to leave a comment on the draught post, but could't see a link to comments.
So I am leaving it here instead:
Franz Kafka kept his window open every day of the year. But he was a fucking nut.
I want one of them too! I love that the day has it's own special name and everything!
Like Michael, I also want to comment on the draught post, by saying that I feel your pain. By far the worst thing about winter in Europe is not the cold outdoors but the insane overheating indoors, which seems to have no impact on anyone else, nor make them have bright red cheeks and frizzled hair.
And the annoying thing is, you can't turn off the heating because then all the pipes freeze and the building collapses.
I love the Krakow square with all its suprises...
